*we will use the verb "ser" when the action can't change (nouns,phisical caracteristics etc)ex:
yo soy Jon......................i'm jon
tu eres alto.....................you are tall
nosotros somos dos.......we are two
*we will use the verb "estar" when the action can change (feelings,phisical situation of something or doing something)ex:
yo estoy en casa..............i'm at home
tu estás cansado..............you are tired
ellos estan jugando..........they are playing
-vocabulary:
alto......tall cansado.....tired
bajo.....short jugar.........play jugando.......playing
casa.....house,home

ReplyDeleteI like how you explained ser and estar as can and cannot change. We always use the rhyme "twinkle, twinkle, verb estar - how you feel and where you are".

DeleteSir,, i've read from other resource, is it true "SER" is used with a past participle to form the passive voice and "ESTAR" is used a preset participle to form the progressive or continuous tenses?

YEP!! look "fue vendido" fue=past of ser (It was sold)
Delete"estuvo caminando" estuvo=past of estar (was walking)
yep you are right!!
and how about animal and thing? do they have to be? like in english we use to be "IS" after "IT"
